How can I buy tickets for events at Sugarfactory?

The easiest way is to buy them online through our website. With a few special exceptions and in the case of free events, you can buy tickets online for all our shows.

If an event is not sold out, there’s a possibility to buy tickets at the door on the night itself. We accept cash, PIN and Credit Cards. The box office opens when the doors of the venue open. For opening times of each show, please check our calender.

What to do if a program I have bought a ticket for is cancelled or moved?

It sometimes happens that for whatever reason, we have to cancel or move an event. In case we move the event, your ticket remains valid. If you can’t make the new date, please mail us at info@sugarfactory.nl to receive your refund (inc. servicecosts). If the event is canceled you will also be fully reimbursed. We try to wire the money within a few weeks.

Do I get a discount with my CJP card in Sugarfactory?

Yes, for (almost) all concerts and live shows you will receive a € 2,50 discount with your CJP card, if you buy a ticket through the website and enter your cardholder details. The discount is not valid at the door, unless specified.

Where can I find my e-tickets?

After you’ve purchased your ticket online, you’ll receive an email which contains your e-tickets in pdf-format.
What should I do if I haven’t received an e-ticket?

It could take several minutes before you’ll receive an email containing the conformation of your purchased tickets. First, check if your mailbox has enough space for the tickets to arrive and also check your junkmail folder.
If that doesn’t provide any answers, you can then visit ACCOUNT in the menu of our website. After logging in with the same credentials you used to acquire the tickets, you’ll notice a summary of your purchases.
If your ticket is included and confirmed in the summary, it’ll mean that the transaction has been complete but that you’ve probably filled in your email address incorrectly.

In the account webpage you can change your email address. After that it’s possible to request the tickets once more, which will then arrive at your newly submitted email address.

If this still doesn’t work, then it’s always possible to contact us by email, which is info@sugaryfactor.nl. Make sure to add a screenshot of your bank transaction. We will help you as quickly as possible.
Can I cancel my purchase?

Unfortunately this isn’t possible. After the transaction the purchase will be irreversible. Only if a show is canceled or if it’s being delayed, will you receive an alternative date or a complete refund. The most reliable platform to sell your e-tickets on, is www.ticketswap.nl.
Do I need to pay service costs when I buy tickets online?

We charge € 1,50 servicecosts for online transactions.

Do I have to print out my pre-sale ticket or can it be scanned from my phone?

To be sure, yes please bring a print-out of your ticket. While technically possible to scan a phone screen, oftentimes it doesn’t work and in that case, we respectfully have to refuse entry.

Is it possible to hire Sugarfactory for private events?

Sugarfactory is available for private hire for groups from 50 to 650 visitors. Inform about the possibilities of hiring Sugarfactory for your private event by emailing us at rentals@sugarfactory.nl.  Download our rentals brochure here (still in Dutch, working on an English brochure, sorry!).

Can I organize concerts or club nights at Sugarfactory?

If you’d like to organize a public event or have a proposal for a programme of whatever kind (club, concert, theatre, exposition) you can submit a concept to our programming department through info@sugarfactory.nl

Please describe the kind of programme you wish to organize, the musical genre, the amount of people you expect, what you or your organisation have organized before, and dates and times of preference. We are open to all kinds of ideas.

Is it possible to exhibit in Sugarfactory?

Every six weeks Sugarfactory has a changing exhibition in collaboration with an artist. For the exhibition we have five windows in the smoking area / gallery available, and a 7 meter long wall in the small hall.

Is there an age restriction for entry?

For our clubnights we have an 18+ age restriction. Day programs and evening shows are open to all ages unless specified. Bear in mind that Dutch drinking laws apply: No alcohol under 18 years of age.

How can I reach the venue?

Sugarfactory is on the Lijnbaansgracht 238, situated just off the Leidseplein in the heart of Amsterdams night life. Use the trip planner to plan your public transport trip to ‘Leidseplein’.

Tram: 1,2,5,7 and 10, get off at stop ‘Leidseplein’.

Bus: 142, 145,170,172 and 370, get off at stop ‘Leidseplein’.

Car: The parking around this area is limited, there are paid parking spots on most of the surrounding canals but it is hard to find a spot in the evening.
Two minutes walk away there is Raamplein (just of the Marnixstraat) this is a paid guarded car park. This is not cheap but it is close and safe.
Further up the Marnixstraat (10 – 15 minutes walking) there is Q-Park Euro parking. For more details and prices check www.q-park.nl (Dutch only).

Is Sugarfactory also accessible to less abled?
open sluit

Sugarfactory is accessible to everybody. The visitors toilets are located on the first floor. Therefore wheelchair users are advised to request assistance of the barmanagers in order to use the staff bathroom located on the ground floor.

How can I reach lost&found department?

If you have lost something, or forgot it at the wardrobe, send an email with the description of your lost item (and if applicable the wardrobe ticket number) to lostandfound@sugarfactory.nl.

Can I reserve a table in the venue?

We don’t provide VIP tables or arrangements, at all.

Can I make photos or videos inside venue?
open sluit

If you are planning to shoot a video or make photo’s with a professional camera, please ask permission beforehand. Not all artists like to be surprised by unaccredited pictures or video’s.

 

Can I smoke inside?

We have a smoking lounge inside where you can smoke. It’s not allowed to smoke in the main or small hall.
