The Orielles (UK) + Tape Toy

The Daily Indie presents

jangly pop, eighties indie

For fans of: Yuko Yuko, Violent Femmes, Best Coast

The Orielles are the perfect example of how a casual meeting at a house party can lead to something beautiful. The sisters Sid and Esmé instantly had a good connection with Henry thanks to a shared love for acts such as Sonic Youth and Pixies: the band was formed within 24 hours. Even though the youngest member is barely 18 years old, the band sounds very mature. With their knack for crafting surf hooks, addictive rhythms and bittersweet, swoonsome pop earworms, supported by jangly guitars and an eighties-like sound, The Orielles are a band to fall hopelessly in love with.

Support: TAPE TOY
TAPE TOY is a brand new band from Amsterdam. Their mix of loud pop songs, heavy guitars and a synth here and there take you back to your favorite high school party. Their lyrics about turtles and suicidal pigeons make you think about life right after the show. TAPE TOY has it all, it’s loud, stubborn and a little bit crazy.
