For fans of Alt-J, Half Moon Run, Balthazar
20:30 Electric Company
21:30 Giant Rooks
Young alternative pop quintet Giant Rooks already made their impact on the German indie scene and is now on to conquer the rest of Europe. Their mix of folkpop, indie rock and electro (also described as ‘art pop’) reminds us subtly of Alt-J. Starting this year, they were presented as newcomers at Eurosonic Noorderslag but after a lengthy sold out German headline tour and more than 40 summer festival shows later, they have earned an impressive amount of playing experience resulting in an impressive and energetic live show. At the end of January, the band will start their “For The Days To Come Tour” which takes them to Sugarfactroy’s small hall on March 3rd. In addition to their previously released songs, the band will also present a few new tracks. Mark our words: 2018 will be an exciting year for Giant Rooks.
Support: Electric Company
The band with frontman Zac Chapman – born in Nottingham, raised in the Netherlands – is pure pop. The songs of Electric Company allow you to immediately sing along to their colossal tunes. Electric Company has many catchy songs written by Zac. Listen to the tracks like Another Plan, No Love Lost, Mathilda, Just for Today and Uncharted Territory, all great examples of crystal clear pop songs.
