To make a confounding debut: Gengahr knows exactly how to do it. After the overwhelming kick-off with their first album in 2015, the London-based four-piece will be back with a second record soon. Their two latest singles reveal new implications. They sound darker, more stratified, even freakier. While the voice of frontman Felix Bushe holds on to the listener more than ever, a subtle feeling of discomfort starts to come over in order to soothe right afterwards. Gengahr is back, just listen.
Support: Petersburg Orderer
Petersburg Orderer began at the end of 2016 as a solo project of Camiel Muiser in Amsterdam. Nowadays he surrounds himself with three band members. Together they get inspired by listening to bands such as The Velvet Underground, Talking Heads and The Kinks. This results in a pleasant fusion of the three above mentioned acts, but slightly more dreamy and fragile: think Sparklehorse and Yo La Tengo.
