Clean Pete + Don Melody Club

Nederlandstalig, indiepop

We originally know Clean Pete, twin sisters Loes (guitar) and Renée (cello), of fragile acoustic pop songs about everyday subjects captured in harmonious singing and smart lyrics in their mother tongue.

On the upcoming album however, Clean Pete unfolds into a straightforward pop group. The sisters wrote some modern contenders of the songs of The Beach Boys and 70’s doowop bands filled with surf riffs and drumfills. The fresh energy of the pop songs marks Clean Pete’s surprising contrast: because you can’t appreciate the softness of your sofa before sitting on a spiky rhythm section, can you?

Support: Don Melody Club
Brand new band Don Melody Club was established in 2018 by Donald Madjid and Mano Hollestelle. They have a shared love for 70’s ballades by Serge Gainsbourg, John Lennon and Ramses Shaffy. The characteristic string parts from the 70’s are translated to synthesizers and mellotron which results in an unique, contemporary sound. Expect genuine ballads and rhythmic up tempo compositions.

For fans of: Spinvis, The Beach Boys, The Kik
